The founders made a deliberate choice to skip a free tier entirely — a small entry fee starting at $1/month keeps the shared sending infrastructure clean and deliverability high for every customer. The platform supports two sending modes: transactional-only and combined marketing plus transactional, with separate plan types for each. Transactional email covers automated system messages like receipts, password resets, and notifications. The marketing layer adds subscriber management, campaign tools, and automation sequences. AutoSend follows a pay-as-you-grow model. Each plan sets a monthly email limit, and you either upgrade or pay an overage fee per 1,000 emails when you exceed it. The REST API is documented for straightforward integration. At higher tiers, dedicated IPs become available for high-volume senders, and Slack support provides a faster escalation path than standard email ticketing.

How It Works

Signing up and picking a plan activates your account and starts your monthly sending cycle on that billing date. You integrate AutoSend using its REST API, connecting it to your application or marketing tool to route outbound email through the platform. For transactional email, you trigger sends programmatically from your codebase. For marketing email, you import contacts and build campaigns inside the dashboard. AutoSend uses shared sending infrastructure across most plans, which keeps costs low. At the Scale tier and above, dedicated IPs become available, letting high-volume senders isolate their sender reputation. Automation sequences are available on marketing-enabled plans, letting you build drip campaigns, welcome series, and triggered flows. Webhooks are included from the Starter plan upward for real-time event tracking. Unused email quota does not carry forward between billing cycles. Overage emails above your monthly limit are billed at $0.002 per email regardless of plan tier.
