PixieBrix
Freemium | Paid | AI Agents
Overview
PixieBrix is a browser-native low-code automation platform that lets teams build custom automations, UI enhancements, and AI-powered tools on top of any website or web app — without requiring IT to modify underlying systems. Employees work in their existing tools (Zendesk, Salesforce, Gmail, Jira), and PixieBrix adds buttons, sidebars, AI assistants, decision trees, and automated actions as overlays in their browser. The platform uses a visual editor and reusable components called bricks to build what PixieBrix calls mods. Mods can automate repetitive copy-paste tasks, surface contextual data from one system while the user works in another, apply process guardrails, and embed AI writing or search features into any interface. Teams share mods through PixieBrix's marketplace or deploy them privately across the organization. Use cases span customer support (fetching order history, auto-filling CRM fields), sales and RevOps (enriching leads, reducing context switching), HR workflows, and compliance interventions. PixieBrix has raised $10.4M from Ridge Ventures and NEA, and is deployed across enterprises with 10,000+ employees in financial services, healthcare, and outsourcing.

Best For
Customer support and contact center teams automating data lookup and entry in browser-based tools, RevOps and sales teams reducing context switching between CRM, email, and research tools, Digital transformation teams deploying consistent AI-powered workflows across large employee groups, Operations teams building process guardrails on top of legacy web applications, Compliance and HR teams embedding required steps into daily web workflows
How It Works
You install the PixieBrix Chrome extension and access the Page Editor to build mods. In the editor, you drag bricks into a workflow — bricks can read page data, call external APIs, transform data, call AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic), and write outputs back to the page or external systems. You chain bricks into multi-step automations triggered by button clicks, page loads, keyboard shortcuts, or schedules. Once a mod is built, it can be shared in PixieBrix's public Marketplace or deployed privately to your team. Business and Enterprise plans support deployment groups that push specific mods to user groups automatically — useful for ensuring compliance workflows reach the right employees without manual installation. The platform integrates with Zapier, Make, and direct API connections. Internal databases store structured data from web interactions without a separate backend. A 30-day free trial is available on all paid plans.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does PixieBrix do?
PixieBrix lets anyone enhance websites and web apps with a low-code editor and common set of components called bricks. Creators can add automation, collaboration, guardrails, and interactive content. Content can be shared publicly in the Marketplace or privately with your team.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. All paid tiers include a 30 day free trial.
How long does it take to learn PixieBrix?
You can build your first mod in less than 10 minutes by following the Quick Start Guide. It generally takes users with some low-code experience (e.g., writing logic, working with variables) 1 to 2 hours for it to feel natural.
Is PixieBrix secure? Where is my data stored?
PixieBrix is secure by default. Browsing data is processed within the browser. Processed data is not transmitted outside the browser unless you optionally create or use a mod that makes a third-party API call or use one of PixieBrix platform add-ons (e.g., team database, API Gateway). For more information, see the Security Overview at pixiebrix.com/security.
Which browsers does PixieBrix work on?
PixieBrix officially supports Google Chrome. Support for Microsoft Edge is in progress.
What other platforms does PixieBrix integrate with?
PixieBrix currently integrates with the most popular platforms for chat, spreadsheets, project management, RPA, and CRM. You can search the Marketplace for a full list. Additionally, the HTTP Request brick lets you define your own REST API requests.
What are premium bricks?
Certain bricks are premium and are available in the Business plan. Premium brick packs include Robotic Process Automation (RPA) at +$5 per user per month and Tours (DAP) at +$5 per user per month.
What are premium API Credits?
Credits are the currency required to use premium APIs. Each plan includes a set number of credits. You can increase credits by upgrading your plan or purchasing additional credits within your current plan. Premium APIs include SerpAPI (2 credits per call), Hunter (20 credits per call), GPT 3.5 (1 credit per 1k words), and GPT 4 (30 credits per 1k words). Additional credits start at $10 per month for 1,000 credits.
What is credit pooling?
Credit pooling is sharing credits among users within the same account. Credit pooling is allowed starting at the Business plan. For example, if you purchase two Business licenses on the same account, one user could consume 500 credits while the other consumes 100 credits, without needing to purchase additional credits beyond the base amount included in the plan.
What happens if I reach my database record limit?
If you reach your database record limit, PixieBrix will stop creating new records and notify you immediately. If your use case requires additional storage, you can integrate with a third-party data store for mod data.
