How It Works

After installing Thinkbuddy, you configure a global hotkey that opens the AI command bar from any app on your desktop. Type your prompt, select which model to use, and get a response inline. When you highlight text anywhere on screen, Thinkbuddy shows a floating action menu with preset options: rewrite, summarize, explain, translate, and custom actions you define. Voice mode activates via a separate shortcut, converting speech to a prompt sent to your chosen model. The Remix feature routes any AI response to a second model for refinement — generate a rough draft with GPT-4, then Remix through Claude to tighten the tone. All interactions happen through Thinkbuddy's local interface, using your own API keys or the built-in subscription to access each model.
