Dot works by connecting to a team's existing data infrastructure (including Snowflake, BigQuery, and dbt) through 20 or more prebuilt data connectors. Once connected, administrators configure business logic, organizational notes, and metric definitions through the Context Agent, ensuring the AI understands how the company measures its own data. Team members then interact with Dot through four primary modes: Chat (conversational questions answered instantly), Deep Analysis (multi-step investigation for complex questions), Automated Reports (scheduled reports delivered to email or Slack), and embedded data widgets within existing tools. Dot intercepts questions wherever employees already work (Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email) and responds with charts, visualizations, and plain-language answers without requiring any SQL knowledge.
